On the morning of Saturday 4th March we arrived at the impressive Ansty Hall in Cambridge ready to start our day capturing the wedding of Kim Hurley & Iain Cross.
We found Kim and her bridesmaids already getting beautified for the day having their hair done and photographs taken. We loved seeing them all in their matching personalised onesies for the occasion!
Iain arrived slightly after and was all set to help decorate and build the outdoor games they had made for the reception.
We spent a lovely morning capturing the bride and her maids who were totally relaxed and having a giggle… there was even time for some dancing from them all!
Once the groom and his men were ready it was time for the big event! Everyone settled into the beautiful ceremony room and awaited the arrival of Kim.
Kim looked absolutely stunning in her fitted white dress, she took everyone’s breath away.
The ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom read their own vows… which was a lovely personal touch.
With the ceremony over and Kim and Iain leaving hand in hand as the new Mr and Mrs Cross it was time to head downstairs for the drinks reception.
In the corner were some great live singers and everyone mingled and enjoyed a glass or two to toast the happy couple.
Now was time to head to the reception marquee for dinner. On entering the marquee you could see the ceiling adorned with bunting and fairly lights, tables set in a vintage theme and a massive donut wall! The room looked amazing!
Everyone enjoyed themselves as the evening progress and it was time for pudding at the outdoor vintage crepe van! Queue up and order whatever you like on a crepe… let me say they were delicious!
Time for the first dance and Kim and Iain’s rehearsed dance routine was fantastic, it got the crowd cheering and laughing and started the evenings dancing off with a bang! On came the live band and the dance floor was packed.
Following this was the cake cutting and an evening of fun!
We want to say thank you again to Kim and Iain for asking us to capture their special day and it was just that, a very special day!
